Hello, It has been so long! My yarn filled adventures have kept me away from my blog for quite some time. There has been lots of designing, a tv appearance and house move (half way across the country) to keep me busy.

I do hope that time has been kind to you and are keeping safe and well during this bizarre and scary time in our history.

I wasn’t quite sure where to start with my returning post, so today I am chatting about a recent collection of baby patterns I designed for Scheepjes.

The collection is all knitted in Scheepjes Merino Soft Brush (or Merino Soft). If you are not familiar with the yarn let me just say it deserves the ‘soft’ tag. It is a nice rounded plump yarn, very smooth which gives is almost a shine. The result is a strong, hard wearing yarn with beautiful stitch definition. Light weight, but incredibly soft and warm to the touch, perfect for this collection. Made from a 50% Superwash Merino wool, 25% Microfibre and 25% Acrylic blend and available in 56 Merino Soft shades and 7 Merino Soft Brush shades!

The gender neutral collection is aimed at all levels of knitter, perfect as first garment projects, with very little shaping. Worked predominately in garter stitch and no fiddly button bands to worry about!
