A New Sock Pattern to ‘Teasel’ your taste buds!
Hello my fellow sock knitting addicts. How is your Socktober going? I have been a busy girl working on some new sock designs with some gorgeous yarns. In the spirit of Socktober I have finally knitted my ever patient husband his first pair of socks, I know, I feel the shame, the poor guy has had chilly toes!
Today I am really to proud to share with you Teasel.
These beautiful socks were inspired by a recent trip to Scotland, driving through the beautiful landscapes being mesmerised by the gorgeous heathers and teasels, gently swaying in the breeze. The colours, the shapes….
Curving lines of twisted stitches form stylised flowerheads on these pretty socks which are deceptively easy to knit. Using only basic decreases and yarn overs. The stitch pattern flows neatly down from the twisted rib cuff, and continues along the front of the foot; the design includes a slip stitch heel flap.
This pattern contains both charted and written instructions.
I chose a beautiful handpainted sock yarn for this design. The yarn, from Old Maiden Aunt, is a blend of superwash merino, cashmere and nylon, and is perfect for making yourself a pair of sock, indulgent socks.
Sizes
- S/M – to fit foot circumference 22.5cm (9”); actual circumference 20cm (8”)
- M/L – to fit foot circumference 29cm (11.5”); actual circumference 26.5cm (10.5”)
The stitch pattern has a great amount of streatch, so each size will fit a wide varitey of feet whilst maintaining its pretty yet still leg hugging form.

Happy Knitting,
Hello. I recently bought wool and needles and got an instruction booklet for twisted socks but unfortunately as I live in the Netherlands the instructions are in Dutch.
I would really like to receive an English version.
