Close your eyes and ‘Drift Away’ perfectly dreamy socks

The neat lines of Drift Away are like the grooves in that record you’re listening to, and they flow into entwined cables sitting prettily on the ankles. Worked in Tempo 4ply, a strong merino/nylon mix that makes the twisted stitches really pop, these socks mirror each other, and the twists and cables make them beautifully snug. if you are between sizes, I suggest you opt for the larger size.

Drift Away, Lazy Sunday Knitted and Beaded Socks by Jane Burns

This cuff-down sock pattern, with a gusset, heel flap and grafted toe, contains step-by-step instructions for the easy crochet hook method of beading (which avoids the need to pre-thread all the beads at once), and a useful tutorial. Beading is optional of course!

The socks are a mirror image of each other, the charts/instructions vary for the cuff, leg, heel and foot. Pay special attention to the instructions for the Right Sock at the end of the pattern.

Treat yourself and your feet to a pair of indulgent beaded socks, because you’re worth it!
