Snowflake addiction really gets it's hook in

Yesterday I found the perfect ‘tree’ for my crochet snowflakes.  I had been looking for a twig tree but thus far not found ‘the’ tree.  I discovered it by chance in the most unlikely of places, Sainsburys!  This is where I would ordinarily share a link so that you could rush out and bag one for yourselves, but it is not listed on their website.  The snowflake patterns and yarns are all in my previous post ‘Hooked on Snowflakes’ if you fancy making some of your own.

It makes me feel so Christmassy when I look at it.

Katie spent the afternoon sewing a heart decoration, she is not known for her patience and ability to complete projects but this simple heart tutorial from Nurture Store had her gripped.  It now has pride of place on the new tree also.

Also completed today was my ‘Hey Ombre’ star garland, the pattern by Tanya Kalyan is in this months issue of Simply Crochet magazine (issue 13).  I used Patons 100% Cotton DK in shades, 2742 Fuschia, 2724 Pomegranate, 2743 Purple.
