It's Snowing a birthday present

My crochet obsession grew beyond snowflakes this week into crochet hearts.  With a dear friends birthday fast approaching and no idea what I could buy her.  Instinctively I thought, snowflakes!  but with her birthday being so close to Christmas I was mindful not to make anything remotely Christmassy (I hope that’s a word). Then I recalled the collection of wooden hearts that she has been adorning her newly decorated house with.  So I flicked through my collection of crochet patterns and this just leapt out at me shouting ‘Louise’.

I crocheted a pair of these heart hangings using Patons 100% Cotton DK and a 3mm hook.  The design is by Barbara Summers.  The pattern is well written and quite predictable, just one warning though there was not a chart, (I always find a chart great especially if I run into trouble understanding the instructions). I am looking forward to making some for myself.
