Meet 'Thumper' a bunny balaclava for your tot.

I have been bursting at the seams to share this with you since I finished it back in the summer.  ‘Thumper’ is a twist on the traditional balaclava.  The twist being you don’t have to terrorise your tot by pulling it over their head,  it has a button fastening at the front.  But that isn’t the cute bit,  check out those ears!  This is what Let’s Knit have to say about it,

“Jane Burns is an expert when it comes to children’s knits, and she knows just how to keep them from protesting against their winter-wear.  Thumper is simply adorable, and we think your little darlings will become rather attached to their new novelty hat.  You could have a fight on your hands come spring-time when the winter knits get stashed away!’

Such lovely words,  I wanted to share them 🙂

Sewing is not my favourite thing to do, trust me this really is simple.  I used iron on interfacing to stop the fabric from fraying, then the fabric was sewn in place by hand.

As always I would love to see pictures on my Facebook page of your finished projects.

Not had enough cute for tots yet?

Also in this issue of Let’s Knit Magazine I have a pair of ‘Scandi’ style boots.  You can make these from the yarn kit that is included in this issue or substitute your own yarn.
