Deck the Halls with Bells and Holly, erm Robins, Bows, Candy Canes

I am going to mention it again,  I am sorry but it’s Chrisssssssssstmas *Slade plays quietly in the background*. When you were all applying your sun cream  I spent the scorching hot days in August (remember those?) knitting Christmas decorations.  Yesterday I was in a meeting planning as far as October 2014!  Anyway I digress……..

This months issue of Simply Knitting Magazine  is on the shelves on Friday and I can give you a preview of my latest creations, inspired by the colour palette of my childhood.  Growing up in the seventies wearing those shades as a red-head was painful,  I am not sure if I was picked on for being ‘Ginger’ or because the colours my mother dressed me in made me look like a ghost!  Before any of you gasp at my use of the word ‘ginger’, Tim Minchin sums it up in his song, ‘Only a ginger can call another ginger, Ginger!’ (click if you are not easily offended).

I digress again….. this set of Christmas decorations are knitted in Rowan’s gorgeous Wool Cotton, the retro colours provided exactly the shades I was looking for.
